Energy Audit and System Design
This process begins with your call to us.
- We’ll visit your place of business and ask a series of questions of you or your plant manager.
- We’ll ask your bookkeeper to compile a year’s worth of electricity bills for us to decipher.
- We’ll ask about your hours of operation and may even attach a power data logger to monitor and pinpoint loads and usage patterns. Once we have analyzed your facility and your electric bills, we can accurately size the photovoltaic system necessary to eliminate your bill.
- Our proposal incorporates conservation measures with the installation, which maximizes the performance and effectiveness of the new system.
- This includes an analysis of the electric company tariff rate that would be best for your new status as a business that generates its own power from the sun. Our on-site design analysis examines the structure and exact sizing of the roof, structures and equipment already on the roof, shading concerns, the orientation of the roof space and the overall site.
- Then the project design begins in our CAD workstation, where we lay out the mechanical design and wiring diagrams. This goes to engineers and permitting officials at the local jurisdiction for building department approval.
